What's up welcome back to Soul Sundays! 

The last Soul Sunday of 2012!! 

Wow, can't believe another year has gone by. So many things have happened this year and We've lost so many legends in the music industry such as Don Cornelius The creator of "soul train".  The Divas of Soul,  Donna Summer and Etta James. The Iconic MCA from the beastie boys. The iconic Dick Clark from American Bandstand. The beautiful Whitney Houston.  La Diva de la Banda Jenni Rivera.  Last but not least my Grandfather & Daddy.  These were all people who have made an impact on my life growing up. I've grown up to listening to their music or have watched them on TV. This year was hard for my family & I with the loss of my daddy & grandfather. My daddy was very close to my heart. He's one of the reasons why I do Soul Sundays and love soul music. He always played soul music I remember the record player always playing the good jams.  He loved to dance and was always breakdancing. This soul Sunday is dedicated to him.  

May all the loved ones we've lost this year Rest In Paradise!!

Mrs Toons Soul Sundays! Today's artist is Tower of Power singing a couple of my favorites " Your still a young man" & live footage of them singing "So very hard to go" for the past 44 years they have been creating their own soul music. The bands horn driven sound is unique that sounds so gangster. I've had the opportunity to see them perform live and they put on a good show! Joe Bravo & the Sunglows singing the jam "It's Ok". Cartoon & I went to the winter wonder Jam yesterday featuring Thee Midniters & Little Willie G, El Chicano, Malo, Tierra, Joe Bataan, rene y rene, ralphi pagan tribute & the list goes on and on.... This was one of the best concerts I've been to! Joe Bravo of the Sun glows performed and he got down with this song! "It's ok" it's so gangster from beginning to end... One of the songs I grew up too! Hope you like my selection!
